Izanagi Shrine (Japan’s Oldest Shrine)

Located approximately 35–40 minutes by car from our facility, Izanagi Shrine is a historic shrine believed to be the oldest in Japan. Known as a sacred site associated with the Japanese creation myth, it is one of Awaji Island’s most significant spiritual and cultural landmarks, attracting visitors interested in history, mythology, and traditional Japanese culture.
